Dr. Zhenyu Wang

Dr. Wang is presently a Process Chemometrician and Data Scientist at The Dow Chemical Company in Lake Jackson, Texas. He joined Professor Georgakis’ research group in 2012 after completing his undergraduate studies at Renmin University in China and his M.S. degrees at the University of Florida. In 2017 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on “Data-Driven Dynamic Models for Nonlinear Process Optimization and Control“. He also has had several summer industrial internships; see here

Dr. Foteini Makrydaki

Dr. Makrydaki is presently Director Product Development Strategy at Sandoz. She joined Professor Georgakis’ research group in 2005 after finishing her undergraduate studies at the National Technical University in Athens, Greece. In 2010 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on “Optimization of batch Reactions using Data-Driven & Knowledge-Driven Models: The case of Asymmetric Catalytic Hydrogenation”; see here.

Professor Fernando Lima

Dr. Lima is presently an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at West Virginia University. He joint Professor Georgakis’ research group in 2003 after completing his B.S. studies at the University of São Paulo. In 2007 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on “Interval Operability: A Tool to Design the Feasible Output Constraints for Non-Square Model Predictive Controllers”. He has was a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Minnesota, (2010-12) and a Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, (2007-09),  see here.

Dr. Sze Wing (Candice) Wong

Dr. Wong is presently a Business and Strategy Advisor at Eli Lilly and Company. She joined Professor Georgakis’ research group after completing her undergraduate degree at the Polytechnic University of NY in 2002.
